Mom’s Play Group was especially organized this past week. Some of the blocks needed for the Block Party had been brought early, so they were there for the little ones. The “Theme” kind of flowed from there.
A Daily Devotional Journal, loaned to us from Lois Braemer, had a wonderful reminder for us nine adults from 1Corintians 3:11,” No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Christ Jesus. So while the children were eating a snack (the quietest time when there are 17 of them) the gals were reminded that a home is only as strong as its foundation and that we (the M&Ms) are here to help each other survive the blasts of the world that can shake all of us to the core.
The craft for the little ones was building… both with paper shapes and WIKI sticks.
The children’s devotion was trying to build… first some heavier wooden pieces on paper snow balls and then on a solid block. The obvious happened, it tipped over, (Thank You God) so the lesson was solidified. The action song, “The Wise Man Built His House Upon A Rock” was fun as well.
While some M&M days are organized and “together” just as at home, others will be less so. The underlying truth is always there: we enjoy one another’s company, support, prayers and friendship. Love to have you with us, too.
