Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod
WELS, characterized as theologically conservative, is the third largest Lutheran church body in America. With national offices today at 2929 N. Mayfair Rd., Milwaukee, Wis., WELS began in 1850 when three German pastors met in Milwaukee. Today, it has grown to over 1,200 congregations in North America. It has over 400,000 baptized members, which includes over 300,000 communicants, served by over 1,000 pastors.

Luther Preparatory School (LPS)
A four year preparatory high school, LPS is owned and operated by the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.  Its primary purpose is to train and encourage young people for the pastoral and teaching ministry in the WELS.  In carrying out that purpose, LPS offers a curriculum that focuses on history, mathematics, science, English, foreign languages, music, and religion.  LPS also offers a wide variety of co-curricular activities in music, performing arts, and athletics.  http://www.lps.wels.net

Michigan Lutheran Seminary (MLS)
Michigan Lutheran Seminary (MLS) is a four-year high school owned and operated by the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS).  It is one of four schools which the synod maintains as part of its ministerial education system.  MLS is a college preparatory school which gives its students a solid foundation for future work in college.  However, the special purpose of MLS is "to train students for the public ministry of the gospel and to enroll them upon graduation at Martin Luther College, New Ulm, MN".  Located in Saginow, Michigan.  http://www.mlsem.org

Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (WLS)
The Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary offers theological training for men who desire to enter the pastoral ministry of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) or of churches within its confessional fellowship.  It is not established or maintained to serve as a school of religion for persons who desire merely to take courses in theology.  The seminary also endeavors in various ways to offer opportunity for theological and professional growth to men who already are active in the pastoral ministry of its confessional fellowship.  Located at 11831 N. Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC)
Wisconsin Lutheran is a 4-year, private, co-ed, Christian liberal arts college affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.  WLC provides quality teaching and active scholarship.
